Stepping Stone Mission of Franklin County ("The Mission") exists to serve people in need in Franklin County.
The objectives of the Mission are as follows:
- To reach out to those in need in the community;
- To provide food and/or shelter to those who are unable to obtain such provisions for themselves;
- To provide information regarding other helpful community services to those in need; and,
- To spread and share the knowledge of Jesus Christ
The Mission currently operates a soup kitchen to provide food for individuals in need and is working to open a homeless shelter. Stepping Stone Mission is led by a volunteer Board of Directors and a volunteer Director.
In its first six years of service to the community, the Mission has survived on the generosity of donations from individuals, churches, and area businesses and the voluntarism of individuals in the community.
Stepping Stone Mission is housed at 565 Diamond Avenue in Rocky Mount, Virginia.
